A nice weekend

12 Dec

I had two terrific (and busy) days last weekend, full of things to plan, people to get in touch with and shopping to do…..

Saturday I hit the city with my daughter for some last Xmas shopping, our bio groceries, and two suitcases for our trip…..obviously we ended up at the newly openend bookshop for some books and a sweet break….Aren’t these two sale clerk nice for posing for me?

And look how beautiful and yummy these gluten-free sweets are….

It was stressful, cold and tiring…..at dinner we needed something good and comforting….like macaroni with bacon and saffron….the perfect ending for the day!

On sunday we were supposed to be out ot town to cheer to our friend L. doing a marathon, but he was recovering from a bad flu, he thought it wasn’t the case to defy a pneumonia. So we decided at the very last minute to meet nevertheless and have lunch all together at a very good place in town, where while eating we discussed next year bikes’ trips…..obviously!

After that we felt the need to take a walk through the city, to have a little chat and to see the festivities decorations….

Yes, this year we have to cycle to light the tree…..

It was a good day………….reminding us once again that a true friendship is something to cherish for a lifetime….

How nice that you can do Christmas shopping with your daughter, your pictures are so nice. I “only” have a son, and he of course would never do that !
